22nd Annual TOUR DE CAPE At Cape Harbour

 January 18th, 19th, 20th 2013

Friday, January 18, 2013 pre-event packet pick-up
Weekend begins with a kick off celebration.  Participants can pick up packets, maps and t-shirts 5pm to 8pm.  Enjoy a great start to the weekend with music, food, and fun.  Activities are located between the towers by The JOINT restaurant.

Saturday, January 19, 2013 5K Run
5K run/walk is designed for advanced and novice runners. On Saturday, check in begins at 6:30am.  Race time is 8am.  A continental breakfast will be available for participants.

Also Saturday, Kids/Family Fun Mini Tour De Cape
Registration is $5, day of the event only.  The family ride begins at 10am.  The course is well supported by the CapeCoral Police Department and is designed to be flat and safe.  Bicycling helmets are required for this event.  All participants will receive a T-shirt, hot dog, chips and a drink.  Lunch will be served in the Pavilion tent.

Sunday, January 20, 2013 Tour De Cape Bike Rides
Sunday’s bike tours offer varied routes from 15, 30, 60 and 100 mile courses in the west and north sections of CapeCoral.  Check in is from 6:30am – 8:30am, 60/100 mile races begin at 8am, 15/30 mile races begin at 8:30am.  The event provides a continental breakfast, lunch, on route rest stations with snacks and beverages, SAG vehicles, Police support, and route maps.

(January 18th is considered pre-registration)

Event Details:
All participants who register prior to January 7, 2013 are guaranteed to receive a shirt. Make Checks Payable to: City of Cape Coral – a driver’s license number is required.  If registrant is under 18, the form must be co-signed by a parent or legal guardian.  Participants under 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  A CPSC approved helmet is mandatory, no exceptions!  In Florida, a bicycle is a vehicle and must obey all traffic laws.   The Tour De Cape is not a race and is not a closed course.

7th Annual New Year’s Eve at Cape Harbour!

Cape Harbour will host its 7th Annual New Year’s Party on Monday, December 31st featuring a gala magical midnight fireworks display and ball drop from high above the Promenade overlooking the Marina.

Ring in the New Year and help count down the minutes to the midnight hour when the ball, covered in shimmering, sparkling lights, is dropped against a spectacle of dazzling fireworks. The 170-foot ball drop from atop the Marina South condominium complex has become a popular tradition here and is one of the most anticipated celebrations in the city. Each year the ball is enhanced with new technology and more brilliance so this is the place to be to experience this spectacular display!

Will Stout, President of Realmark development, said, “CapeHarbour invites everyone to join in the festivities as we say good bye to 2012 and celebrate 2013!”

Revelers may want to come early to relax and enjoy CapeHarbour’s fine restaurants. Enjoy waterfront dining at the award winning Rumrunners with open dinner seating from 5pm to 10pm. Reservations are recommended 239-542-0200.

Pignoli on the Harbour, located on the Marina, will feature their special New Year’s Eve Party from 9pm to 1am with live music. Enjoy the best view of the fireworks from your dockside table. Reservations are required 239-541-0800.

Great food drinks and party favors will also be the fare at The Joint; with live music by “Super Bot” starting at 8pm. Reservations are not required.


The merchants at Cape Harbour invite you to visit their unique shops, boutiques, art gallery and boat dealers will be open for your browsing and holiday shopping. Banana Bay Tour Company will make its last sunset cruise of the year, a two hour cruise beginning one hour before sunset, dockside at Rumrunners call 239-728-8687.
